Every Nation, Tribe, and Tongue

Any of you have a recurring daydream or vision that regularly brings a smile to your face? The thought of a child’s future wedding day. A vision of a family holiday with all the kids and grandkids gathered around the table. The dream of a joyful retirement celebration while you're experiencing another challenging work week.

I have a recurring daydream about the beauty that awaits us when we reach heaven — the experience of a multitude of people from every nation and tongue who will join together in worship of our God, Revelation 7:9 style. So, it feels like a little slice of heaven when I hear about moms around the world who are using Mom to Mom curriculum materials that have been translated into other languages through the hard work of dedicated volunteers:

  • A pastor in Malawi who translated the Heart Talk lessons so his wife could equip and encourage hundreds of moms in their community.

  • The joyful Mom to Mom alum who translated the lessons into Spanish so they could be shared with native Spanish speakers.

  • The hundreds of moms in South Korea who have been encouraged through the Mom to Mom lessons their pastor translated for them.

  • The mom who grew up in China, then participated in a Mom to Mom group in the United States, and later translated those lessons into Mandarin so she could lead a small group of her Chinese mom friends.

  • A small group of working moms in Romania who are using Mom to Mom materials in their language to find encouragement in their parenting.

Next time I wistfully think about that glorious day when we will all worship at the throne in heaven, I will be thinking about the Mom to Mom sisters from around the globe who will be praising right alongside us. Glory to God.
